Hotels Near the Fair Complex
All individual booths are 10×10. Your booth space will be marked on the floor, with no physical separation between adjacent booths. Remember, the Fair Complex does not allow a covering over the top of the booth. Using the metal structure without its canopy is allowed.
If you ordered a table, it will be in your booth when you arrive. They are very basic wood-topped tables that you’ll want to cover with a tablecloth.
Make sure you bring a chair!
We are providing electricity at no cost to you. To use the power drops, bring a heavy duty (outdoor type) extension cord to connect from your booth to the strip. No booth will be further than 20′ from a power drop. You will be limited to 200 watts of power in your booth. We recommend that you bring lighting to show your art at its best, as the overhead lighting is florescent. You’ll need low-wattage light bulbs like LEDs.
Load-in is fairly easy as we are able to drive up in front of the building. There are doors at the front and a large loading door at the side. It’s a good idea to bring a cart to transport your materials. Please plan to move your car to the gravel lot after load-in so our patrons can use the paved lot.
We’ve been collecting display ideas on Pinterest. If you have any other links, send them to us and we’ll share them. One of the easiest ways to hang paintings and 2-D art is on gridwall, which can also act as a divider between your booth and adjacent ones. They are available new, used and for rent at Portland Store Fixtures, or you can buy them at Uline, Amazon, and so on.
