Riis (Lisa) Griffen is a self-taught mixed media painter who has exhibited in many venues and galleries in Oregon and Washington. She loves outsider art, children’s art, cave paintings and graffiti. A strong believer in community involvement, she has volunteered for Portland Open Studios and taught art to children through Hillsboro’s Bienestar. She is a founding member of the Westside ArtShare group and a member of The Village Gallery of Arts, where she served for two years as president of the board of directors. Riis co-founded Affordable Art for Everyone and 2017 is her third year organizing the event.
Christian Griffen works a professional dayjob to support his creative pursuits, including fiction writing and composing electronic music. He is also an award-winning tabletop game designer. Christian volunteered at the 2015 Affordable Art for Everyone and now provides technical and organizational support for the event.
